Carlo Ancelotti has given an interview in which he talks about his future plans, of which most – if not all – of it surrounds Real Madrid.

The Italian has just become the first coach to win all five of the major European leagues, as he achieved success in LaLiga Santander with Real Madrid this season.

“After this period at Real Madrid it is likely that I will retire. But if Real Madrid want me to be here for another 10 years, I’ll be here for another 10 years,” Ancelotti told Amazon Prime Video.

Last week he made it clear in an interview with Jorge Valdano that the two teams that are in his heart are AC Milan and Real Madrid, and in this chat with Prime Video he once again revealed his feelings towards Los Blancos.

Ancelotti is going through one of the best moments of his career. Despite more than 20 years on the bench, the Italian admits that he has rarely been happier than he is now as Real Madrid boss.

This second chance from Florentino Perez has been one of the most special moments of his career and he is thoroughly enjoying it. He has started by winning LaLiga Santander, the last league title that he was missing.

Ancelotti’s plans

Ancelotti is clear about what he will do when he leaves Madrid.

“I would like to be with my grandchildren, to be on holiday with my wife. There are so many things to do that I’ve had to put aside,” he noted.

“There’s a lot of places I’ve never been to. I’ve never been to Australia. I’ve never been to Rio de Janeiro. I want to go visit my sister more often.

“Unfortunately you can’t do everything, so the day I retire, I’ll have all these things to do.”

He was also asked about the possibility of coaching the Canadian national team, with less pressure than day-to-day club life.

“Why not? I would love to, of course. Canada have done very well recently,” he stated.

In the interview, Ancelotti also spoke about Karim Benzema, who he can see winning the Ballon d’Or.

“You don’t have to coach or manage Karim. You have to use Karim. He manages himself because he is a great professional, very humble, a great player,” he explained.

“He has won a lot of games for us; he was decisive this season. He is now one of the most famous players in the world and he maintains great humility, and I think that is his strength.

“And he will win the Ballon d’Or. But he won’t win it just because of himself, behind him is the strong structure of a strong club”.
