Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou‘s first face off took place Monday ahead of their heavyweight bout in Riyadh on March 8.

Ngannou posted a clip of a sit down between the two on Instagram, during which Joshua put him on the hot seat about his fight with Tyson Fury in October. AJ poked at Francis, asking whether or not he respected Fury’s power.
“I respect everybody’s power … everybody is a danger,” he replied. There may have been more to the conversation, but the behind-the-scenes clip featuring a face-to-face chat with AJ ended there.
After brushing the question off with respect, Ngannou expressed confidence that he can beat Joshua in the following Instagram story, which featured only Francis and an interviewer.
“Who has ever for his first two fights in boxing, taken on the two best in the sport?” the Cameroonian boasted, suggesting he would win because, in his words, “I’m Francis Ngannou.”
