We have some breaking news coming from Clinton County in Ohio, a suburb that is close to the city of Cincinnati. At around 9 a.m.. an armed white man attempted to bypass the Visitor Screening Facility at FBI Headquarters in Greater Cincinnati. When he realized he wasn’t going through as the alarm wen’t off, a response team from the bureau exchanged fire with him but the suspect managed to escape.

Currently, there is an ongoing manhunt after he took off north onto Interstate I-71. Not only the FBI is looking for this person, but the Ohio State Highway Patrol and local law enforcement as well. After the suspect fled the scene, about four miles of highway were blocked in order to close a perimeter to keep the suspect in that area. There is a standoff taking place as we speak.

After an hour-long car-chase, the suspect got surrounded inside a field and kept exchanging fire with authorities. The suspect has very little chances of escaping, considering the situation he got himself into. When the FBI agents noticed him at the building, they immediately considered him a threat and treated him as such.

Here’s what the Cincinnati FBI Department tweeted as the events began unfolding: “At approximately 9 AM this morning an armed subject attempted to breach the Visitor Screening Facility at FBI Cincinnati. After an alarm and a response by FBI special agents, the subject fled north onto Interstate 71.”

Is the armed suspect a Trump supporter?

Although details about the armed suspect still remain unclear until he is aprehended, this does happen during an interesting moment for Donald Trump supporters. There have been multiple online reports of calls for a civil war and for reactions against law enforcement.

FBI reported that the suspect was wearing body armor at the time of the first confrontation but they didn’t specify if he was a Trump supporter or not. If he is, this sets a dangerous precedent for other people who are threatening to act violently against law enforcement and the sitting government.

Update: Suspect is now reportedly contained inside a corn field near Wilmington, Ohio but hasn’t been aprehended yet.
