Gareth Bale has declared that he is at full fitness after missing El Clasico due to a back injury.

Bale has been training this week ahead of Wales’ World Cup qualifier against Austria on Thursday night, and told a press conference on Wednesday that he is ready to play.

“It’s normal to have some niggles but I’m in very good shape,” he said in a press conference.

“I’m ready to play whatever’s necessary tomorrow.”

Putting his Real Madrid troubles behind him with Wales

In spite of not featuring against Barcelona on Sunday night, Bale has been training with Wales this week.

He looks to be showing little discomfort, and it is clear that he is happier and more relaxed with his country.

His objective for 2022 is to play in the Qatar World Cup which gets underway in November.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are not considering offering him a new contract, and his current deal expires in June.
