“Barcelona in a white shirt? It’s a disgrace… White is Real Madrid'”
F.C. Barcelona, who have worn a white shirt in the past, will once again wear one next season.
The news that F.C. Barcelona will wear white next season has unsurprisingly generated a great debate on social media.
The newspaper ‘Sport’ has revealed that the new white kit will be one of the best-selling in the history of the club.
Having said that, many Barcelona fans don’t agree. Jota Jordi, a journalist who works for TV program ‘El Chiringuito’, was outraged by the decision. “Barcelona once played in white? I don’t care! The white shirt belongs to Real Madrid”.The journalist from Barcelona continued to rant for some time. “Barcelona with a white jersey? It’s a shame,” said Jota Jordi.
“You have to respect certain things. You have to respect the history of the clubs and the feelings of the people,” insisted Jota Jordi. “Barcelona’s badge on top of a white Real Madrid jersey is a disgrace, and I hope no one buys it,” he argued.
It’s true that it’s not the first time that F.C. Barcelona wears white.Until the 1970s, Barcelona used to wear white on a regular basis, even winning the final of the Latin Cup in Paris against Nice in 1952.
The last player to wear the white Barça shirt was Johan Cruyff in the 1977/78 season.
