Heavyweight legend Eric Scott Esch, who goes by the nickname Butterbean, has called out 25-year-old Jake Paul, as well as Mike Tyson, ahead of a potential return to the ring.
The 55-year-old plans to make a comeback in the next few months, and wants to face Jake Paul.
“I’m not a typical boxer, I go out there to fight, I want to knock somebody out, Jake Paul or Mike Tyson,” he told The Sun.
“Jake Paul runs his mouth too much, he’s never fought nobody, I would love to fight him.
“He knows about it, I know 100 percent he knows about me challenging him.
“I’m going to wait until I’m closer to being ready, but I have had a couple of fight offers, some big names.
“I don’t want to say who, but I’ve had a couple of contracts sent to me.”
Butterbean shed light on his relationship with Mike Tyson, who himself is a legend in his own right.
“I think people would like to see me and Tyson go at it, which would be a hell of a draw,” he added.
“Me and Tyson are actually friends, but I don’t mind fighting friends.”
Jake Paul is about to take on Tommy Fury at New York’s Madison Square Garden on August 6, the first time he’ll be facing a recognised boxer. On the other hand, Butterbean last boxed in 2013.
