Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is set to face Gennady Golovkin in September, and the Mexican made no secret of his disdain for the Kazakhstani boxer.
Canelo feels that Golovkin has been disingenuous in comments made about him, and has therefore lost respect for him.
“He’s a f***ing a**hole,” Canelo told TMZ.
“He’s not honest. He pretends to be a good person and be different but he’s not.”
“He talks a lot of s*** about me. He’ll say, ‘I respect him, his career.’ And, [in an] other part, ‘He’s an embarrassing boxer, he’s embarrassing for Mexican boxing.'”
“I hate that motherf***er because of that.”
The pair will share their third career battle on September 17 in Las Vegas and Canelo aims to knock his opponent out.
“My goal is to end this fight before the 12 rounds,” Canelo said.
