Canelo Alvarez is the highest-grossing boxer on the bill in Las Vegas, and that has made him one of the richest men in the world of pugilism, and his next fight, the last of the trilogy against Gennady Golovkin, will leave him many zeros in his bank account.

The Canelo vs GGG fight is almost two months away, and the Canelo Team is preparing thoroughly to face the Kazakh and regain the victory and confidence.

To start the current year, Canelo signed to keep his business with Matchroom Boxing throughout the year, the promoter managed by Eddie Hearn, who made him an offer he could not refuse for a minimum of two fights, which could even go up to three, which could be the rematch against Bivol.

According to ESPN’S Mike Coppinger, Hearn’s company would have proposed $85 million as a guaranteed purse for the two fights against Dmitry Bivol and Gennady Golovkin, so that next September he could be paid the total of this figure, beyond the result and with the additions for his sponsors and the sale of Pay-Per-View-Event.

In a simple operation, this agreement implies that for each fight he pocketed around $42.5 million just for signing with Matchroom Boxing for these two fights, a number that in total could go up to $160 million if the third fight with Eddie Hearn is agreed.

According to the same ESPN boxing specialist, Eddie Hearn assured him to finish 2022 with at least $160 million for three fights, which could be fulfilled with the rematch against Bivol; however, it has yet to be assured that Canelo will fight one more time this year.

Canelo’s cumulative earnings

If Canelo gets the $160 million deal in exchange for the three fights in this 2022, in the following three years he would have already surpassed the figure secured in the historic contract he signed in 2018 with DAZN for $365 million, as long as he maintains the average revenue per fight.
