Charles III was proclaimed as the new monarch of the United Kingdom on Saturday, following the death of Elizabeth II on Thursday.
On of his first duties was to sign the proclamation in front of the British government to become the head of state.
But social media users were quick to spot and point out a moment of poor behaviour from Charles, when he needed a little more space on his desk.
Obstructed by a box of pens, Charles ordered one of his servants to move them with a facial expression that was far from pleasant, and has a lot of people saying that the power of being king has gone to his head.
It should be pointed out that the box of pens was not big, and it would not have taken a lot of effort for Charles to merely move it himself.
The Daily Mail have reported that the box of pens that had Charles so offended by its present had been a gift from his sons, Harry and William.
A number of politicians and members of the royal family attended the ceremony.
Naturally, social media users flocked to criticise Charles’ rather rude behaviour in what was his first official act.
