There was plenty of spice in Sunday’s London derby as Chelsea and Tottenham played out a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, though it was all down to coaches Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel.

Things had been simmering for much of the second half, and boiled over twice on the day. ??It first happened when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg levelled at 1-1 in controversial fashion, with Chelsea claiming that Kai Havertz was fouled in the build-up and that Richarlison was offside and interfering with play as the shot passed him to go in.

Conte‘s celebration didn’t help as he went in front of the Chelsea bench, and Tuchel reacted by squaring up to his counterpart and they even bumped chests.

When the hosts’ lead was restored by Reece James, Tuchel took off down the touchline and ran past the away bench, but Conte didn’t react.

Conte and Tuchel sent off

Following Harry Kane‘s last-second equaliser, things boiled over again. The game ended and the handshake sparked another coming-together.

Conte wasn’t impressed by the manner in which Tuchel shook his hand, and the pair squared up once more, leading to a gathering of bodies and flailing arms on the sidelines.

Both coaches were yellow carded after the first incident, and the two were sent off after the final whistle.
