The Dallas Cowboys defeated the New York Giants on Monday Night Football at MetLife Stadium and the franchise’s quarterback quandary is heating up as Dak Prescott is confident he’ll return from injury in Week 4 of the 2022 NFL season.

Cowboys QB Cooper Rush is now 3-0 as a starter in his career, throwing for 215 yards and one touchdown on 21-for-31 completions against the Giants.

Dallas wide receiver CeeDee Lamb caught a one-handed TD in the final quarter after grabbing a crucial pass on fourth down to keep the drive alive.

With the score at 23-16, New York had one more chance at tying the contest, but Stefon Diggs made a game-clinching interception on Daniel Jones.

Jones, 25, only threw for 196 yards on 20-for-37 completed passes, and got sacked five times.

Saquon Barkley is back

Giants running back Saquon Barkley continues to impress in what he predicted to be his bounce-back season.

After a first half without a TD from either side, Barkley rushed into the end zone in the third quarter.

Barkley, 25, racked up 81 yards on 14 carries, including his 36-yard rushing touchdown.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott responded with a rushing TD of his own in the third frame, but looked slow on his way to 73 yards on 15 carries.

Cowboys QB quandary heats up

After last week’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he would welcome a quarterback quandary in his locker room.

Jones, 79, is getting what he asked for, as Rush has been solid since Prescott got injured in the season opener.

Cowboys will also need to assess if Tony Pollard, who rushed for 105 yards on 13 carries, should be the RB1 over Elliott.

Even though linebacker Micah Parsons did not add to his four-sack tally, his presence alone was enough to give the Dallas defense five sacks and a field goal block.

Both teams move to a 2-1 record as Cowboys host the Washington Commanders on Sunday and Giants take on

Chicago Bears
