The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at AT&T Stadium to go 1-1 in the 2022 NFL season, with Micah Parsons continuing to dominate on the defensive end.

Parsons, 23, sacked Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow twice and recorded three tackles.

Even when Parsons isn’t getting sacks, his relentless effort bleeds over to the other defenders.

Dorance Armstrong Jr. also sacked Burrow twice and added two tackles.

Trevon Diggs couldn’t get an interception but had five excellent tackles in a great performance by the entire defense.

Cowboys offense won’t miss Dak Prescott

Even though Cooper Rush is not an elite quarterback, he has again proven that he can do enough to scrape out wins.

When the game was tied 17-17 near the end of regulation, Rush managed to complete a few solid passes to set up the game-winning field goal by Brett Maher.

As long as Parsons is on the field with the Cowboys defense and Rush does his part offensively, Prescott will have more time to come back fully healed.

Rush threw for 244 yards on 21-for-33 completions, but most of his offensive output came in the first half.

His only passing TD of the night went to Noah Brown, while Tony Pollard rushed for the other.

Cowboys defense holds Joe Burrow to under 200 yards

Bengals kicker Evan McPherson went 3-for-3 on field goal attempts to account for 9 of Cincy’s 17 points.

The Cowboys defense held Burrow to 199 yards on 24-for-36 completions and a single TD pass to Tee Higgins late in the final frame.

Micah and company also managed to hold the Bengals to 89 rushing yards, with Joe Mixon getting just 57 yards on 19 carries.

Dallas will go as far as Parsons takes them this season, and it seems like it could be far, but for now, they’ll be focused on next week’s battle against the New York Giants.

Bengals are 0-2 and will face aNew York Jets team in Week 3 that is coming off a thrilling win over the Cleveland Browns.
