It appears there is no way back for Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United, following his explosive interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
While Ronaldo has already accused the club of trying to push him out, the Portuguese forward has also spoken about how the club refused to believe that his daughter was ill and that he needed to take care of her.

His daughter’s illness was also the reason he missed training and Manchester United‘s pre-season tour.
“I spoke with the directors and president of Manchester United and they kind of didn’t believe that something was going wrong, which made me feel bad,” Ronaldo said on the interview with Morgan.
“They believed it, but it’s something that really hurt me because they doubted my words.
“We had one week in hospital because Bella had big problems and I didn’t go to the pre-season because of that.
“Because I wasn’t going to leave my family if something happened to do a pre-season because I didn’t think it was fair to leave my family. This is why I didn’t go.”
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez’s heartbreak
In April 2022, Ronaldo and partner Georgina Rodriguez reported that one of the two twins they were expecting had died.
“It is with deep sadness that we have to announce that our baby has passed away,” they said at the time.
“It is the greatest pain any parent can feel. Just the birth of our girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
The surviving twin, Bella, then had some health complications in the summer and this is why the forward missed a lot of pre-season.
It seems he hasn’t forgiven the club for their lack of support in this time, while the player also outlined several other criticisms of the club directors during his interview.
