Dani Alves, Pumas and Brazil national team player, has given an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport, in which he talked about former club Paris Saint-Germain, especially its famous attacking trident formed by Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Alves has a great relationship with Messi and Neymar and it shows in the interview, because he had some words about Mbappe that won’t sit well with the Frenchman.

Mbappe is a phenomenon who has not yet understood that those who play with him in attack are bigger phenomenons than him.”

The Brazilian full-back does not doubt Mbappe‘s quality, but stresses that the Argentine and the Brazilian are above him.

Neymar and Messi are unique,” Alves said “They see and do things that no one else sees or can do. A great player must always know and understand who he plays with, your teammates enrich your qualities.”

Dani Alves knows what he’s talking about and is an authoritative voice when referring to PSG‘s three attacking players, as he shared a dressing room with all of them, both at PSG and Barcelona.

“You have to be smart to take advantage of Neymar and Messi‘s potential, they are two geniuses, I think I handle the ball well, but when I played with Leo, I gave it to him. And if I play with Ney, I also give it to him,” he added.

To end the interview, Alves delivered a strong statement about what Mbappe could do alongside these two ‘geniuses’.

“If Mbappe gave the ball to Messi and Neymar, he would score 150 goals,” Alves said.

Dani Alves is the player with the most trophies in soccer history with 43, and at 39 years of age he is still hungry to win more.
