Oscar De La Hoya has issued a strong rebuke to Floyd Mayweather over the latter’s interactions with Ryan Garcia. De La Hoya responded on Instagram to images of Mayweather and Garcia running together and visiting a shopping mall, expressing his dissatisfaction with Mayweather‘s involvement.

He reminded Mayweather of the existing working relationship between Golden Boy Promotions, which De La Hoya founded, and Ryan Garcia.

De La Hoya‘s Instagram message outlined the sequence of events, mentioning Garcia‘s desire for fights against Devin Haney and Rolando Romero.

Blasted Mayweather

He emphasized Golden Boy’s longstanding collaboration with Garcia since the latter turned professional, making him a significant attraction in boxing.

“Pre-run with Floyd = Ryan wants Haney. Post-run with Floyd = Ryan wants Rolly,” De La Hoya wrote.

“Golden Boy has worked with Ryan Garcia since he turned pro, and together have made him the biggest draw in boxing.

“We will make his fight with Rolly into a huge event, as we always do.

Floyd, if you want to give Ryan the secret to defence in the ring, that’s great.

“Other than that, if you are still a promoter like it says here, f*** off.”

As of now, Garcia is without an opponent, but he has expressed interest in facing Rolando Romero. In his most recent match against Oscar Duarte on December 2, Garcia secured victory via knockout.

This victory was crucial for Garcia, who had faced setbacks, including a defeat to Gervonta Davis in April, resulting in his unbeaten record being snapped.
