After Ryan Garcia‘s comments, who looks provocative and assures that neither Canelo Alvarez nor Floyd Mayweather will stop him from speaking, Oscar de la Hoya stopped the young American and asked him to respect fighters who have achieved too much in the boxing industry.

Ryan Garcia will fight this Saturday against Javier Fortuna, but during the week he has spoken to many media outlets and told FightHype that no one will be able to shut him up, not even the Avengers.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. trained with his grandson as a spectator

That was his response to comments from Canelo and Mayweather, who told him that before talking he has to be world champion, but King Garcia looks like a challenger to them.

The comment that upset Oscar de la Hoya

“They need the Avengers to stop me, they need the Avengers to stop me from talking. It could be Floyd, it could be Canelo, add all the GOATs, they need them all. They can’t stop me,” Ryan Garcia said.

Canelo Alvarez: I’m in the running to be the best in history

Those comments were not seen in the best light by Oscar de la Hoya, Ryan Garcia’s promoter, who told the same video channel that the young fighter must respect legendary fighters.

“You have to respect fighters who have experience, fighters who are legends, who are world champions, who have something to say, and when you talk people listen,” Oscar de la Hoya said.

De la Hoya takes advantage and criticizes Canelo

The former world champion and now promoter sided with Money and Canelo, although he took advantage of the moment to attack the Mexican as did Ryan himself, who a few weeks ago criticized that Canelo’s first title was against a fighter like Mattew Hatton.

“I’m with Mayweather, I’m with Canelo. The only thing I have to say is that when Ryan Garcia fights for a world title, his first world title, it obviously won’t be against Mattew Hatton.”
