Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady appeared on an episode of The Shop with LeBron James earlier this year in which he told a story that is now making more sense.

UFC president Dana White claimed Saturday night on the first-ever “GronkCast” that he orchestrated a deal in 2020 that would have seen Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski play for the Las Vegas Raiders.

White blamed former Raiders head coach Jon Gruden for blowing up the trade, presumably because he wanted to stick with Derek Carr as his QB.

Gruden eventually left the franchise after reports surfaced of him using racist and homophobic slurs to describe some players over the years.

Brady, however, will always be spiteful of the fact that Gruden preferred to stick with Carr over him, as showcased on The Shop.

During his appearance on The Shop, Brady detailed his offseason story of how a mystery team decided to stick “with that motherf-ker” over him.

“One of the teams, they weren’t interested at the very end,” Brady said. “I was thinking, you’re sticking with that motherf-ker?”

Brady, who White claims was already looking for homes in Las Vegas, continued to tell James and those present on The Shop that looking back, he would have never went to “that team.”

“Looking back, I’m thinking ‘There’s no fu-king way I would’ve gone to that team,” Brady said. “They said they didn’t want me! I know what that means! I know what that feels like! And I’m going to f–k you up because of that.”

While it’s still unclear if Brady was truly talking about Carr, White’s comments make it seem like the “motherf-ker” was indeed the Raiders QB.
