Draymond Green was in the eye of criticism after punching Golden State Warriors teammate Jordan Poole a few days ago at practice.

Green was suspended for a few days by the team and there was a rumor that he would also be financially mutated, but what was really in doubt is whether the relationship with Poole could be good and together they could live together and lead the Warriors to the top of the NBA season.

Green: “I don’t know if Pool and I can be friends”.

After the incident and a few days away from the team, Green returned and attended to the media and spoke for the first time about the incident.

To the direct question that if the relationship could be good and they would be friends Draymon answered:

“I’m not sure,” Green added. “As I said before, that’s not up to me. Nor do I think there’s much relevance.”

“Quite frankly, we both know how to play basketball and that is the most important for us. We’re paid to do a job and we’re gonna come and do that job to the best of our ability. We wanna continue to win so we gonna do what we have to do to win.”

Steph Curry ‘saves’ Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors

Curry understood that Green’s punch on Poole could affect the chemistry in the locker room, so he decided to intercede as soon as possible and avoid further damage.

The Warriors are coming off a Finals win and remain one of the favorites in the West heading into next season.
