YouTuber Jake Paul will embark on his latest boxing adventure on August 6 when he takes on Tommy Fury at the legendary Madison Square Garden.

Paul‘s foray into the boxing world has been a controversial one and he still isn’t taken seriously by some boxing stalwarts.

However, the fighter has been confident since day one and his slowly gaining a real reputation.

High-profile boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who is not involved with this particular event, has had his say on the upcoming fight with Fury and declared it a tough one to call, but he does have a favourite for the bout.

The fight is a rescheduled battle from last year after the original date was postponed due to Fury‘s illness. Speaking on MMA Hour, Hearn is leaning towards Paul to edge it.

Hearn isn’t ignoring Paul‘s lack of boxing pedigree, but he highlights the importance of his confidence.

“I think [Jake Paul] probably does [beat Tommy Fury]. They’re about the same kind of level,” said Hearn.

“The problem with Jake is you listen to him and you can’t help being drawn in by the confidence.

“So I’m now drawn in by the confidence and putting him as a guy who deserves to be a boxer.

“On paper Tommy Fury should beat him easily, but then you watch Tommy Fury and you think, ‘Well actually, you’re not very good either’.”
