Paul Stratton, an Everton FC fan who transports supplies to refugees of the Ukraine war, was subbed on to score a penalty in a pre-season friendly against Dynamo Kyiv at Goodison Park.

Stratton was recognized by Everton, the club he supports, by allowing him to make his dream come true.

The fan got no resistance from the opposing goalkeeper when it came to scoring the penalty but Stratton still celebrated as if he had won the Premier League trophy.

Everton players surrounded Stratton, each one giving him a hug to celebrate the goal.

Frank Lampard‘s side officially won 3-0 but the fan’s unofficial goal made it 4-0.

Vitaliy Mykolenko stands up for Ukraine

Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the score against Dynamo Kyiv before new signing Dwight McNeil notched a brace.

Ukranian Vitaliy Mykolenko was the captain against his former team, from where he joined the Toffees in January.

Mykolenko, 23, has been vocal regarding his stance against Russia’s invasion of his country.

He even called out Russian player Artem Dzyuba for remaining silent while his country’s leaders do horrific things to Ukraine.
