Tom Brady did not have a good night with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Arizona Cardinals, the quarterback had a terrible game, but they still managed to come out with the win and could secure a playoff berth if they beat the Carolina Panthers next week.
During the game, Brady was wrong on several plays, he was throwing wrong or calling the wrong play, this made the TV commentator and former Cincinnati Bengals player, Cris Collinsworth ,make a harsh comment about the player’s performance.
“I got nothing. I mean, this is a layup. This is like watching LeBron James miss a layup right here? I don’t know what I’m watching.”
Brady completed 32 of 48 attempts in Sunday’s 19-16 win over the Cardinals, throwing for 281 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
But until the third quarter Brady’s performance was mediocre and puzzling.
Buccaneers close to playoffs
The Buccaneers remain atop their NFC South division after their seventh win of the season. Next game, they can clinch the division title and qualify for the playoffs with a win against their direct rivals, the Carolina Panthers.
If they lose to the Carolina Panthers, everything will be defined on the last day of the season. Another loss would marginalize them, while a win vs. Atlanta Falcons would put pressure on their main rivals.
Even if they win their division, the Buccaneers are locked into the fourth seed within the NFC. As has been pointed out many times the Eagles can win the NFC East with any Cowboys loss or win they manage on their own (which they couldn’t do on Saturday by the way) and if Dallas is going to be the wild card then they will only be the #5 seed which means they will be visiting the Bucs.
