Cristiano Ronaldo is currently going through the most forgettable season of his entire career. One would think he is an entirely different player simply by looking at this season’s stats from him. Nobody would imagine he is just one goal away from the 700th of his brilliant run as a footballer.

Just last Thursday during the Europa League game against Omonia, Cristiano had his chance to get that goal and he sent a clear shot to the post. Not even he can believe the level of bad luck he is experiencing. In recent weeks, Cristiano even seeked professional psychological help from Jordan Peterson to see if he can turn things around. But nothing seems to be working at the moment.

Given all that’s currently happening, we need to probably start asking ourselves if this could be the actual end of Ronaldo as we knew him. Granted, he still takes perfect care of his body but something seems terribly off with him. In a recent report from ESPN, it was revealed that no team in Europe is actively trying to sign Cristiano Ronaldo during the winter transfer window.

He is expected to remain at Manchester United as nobody seems to want him. This is completely outrageous, Ronaldo is only going through an unusual period of bad luck. There is no reason to believe he is not going to make a triumphant return at some point in the near future. Especially with the World Cup right around the corner. But we still need to poise the question: Could it be time for the MLS to tempt Ronaldo?

Which MLS teams have a chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo?

If we sit back and analyze which MLS team actually have the power to sign one of the biggest footballers in history, there are only a couple that can. One is the more obvious option, Los Angeles Galaxy. Getting him back playing alongside ‘Chicharito‘ is a win-win for everybody. Another team could be David Beckham’s Inter Miami. Last but not least, New York City FC is another option but their ties to Manchester City could prevent it from happening.

Further than that, no other teams would even dream of signing Ronaldo. If we keep it 100% real, chances are Cristiano eventually returns to his groove and he finishes his career in Europe. But hey, one can dream of having him playing in the MLS someday.
