Gareth Bale and Real Madrid have crossed paths once again. Los Blancos have chosen Los Angeles as their base for their tour of the United States, the same destination where the Welsh player, recently signed by Los Angeles FC in MLS, is now based.

There’s added spice as Gareth Bale left Real Madrid through the back door after his contract expired on June 30.

His last few years at the club were forgetable, with Bale going unnoticed and the fans turning against him.

Now we will be able to see if the Welsh star still maintains a good relationship with his former teammates and pays them a visit to say hello, as Sergio Aguero did when he went to greet the Barcelona squad before the match against Inter Miami.

The tour

Real Madrid’s first and most important game in the United States will be the El Clasico match against Barcelona in the early hours of Sunday, July 24.

The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host the duel between the two Spanish giants in a match that will be a sell-out.

Three days later, on July 27, Real Madrid will head to San Francisco to take on Club America of Mexico in a match that will be played at 04:30 local time at Oracle Park.

Real Madrid will finish the tour at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 31, against Juventus .

Bale’s debut

Los Angeles FC’s 2-1 away win over Nashville was Bale’s first official club match since April 9.

Since then, Bale has helped Wales secure their place at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, their first appearance at the finals since 1958, with a win over Ukraine in the Intercontinental playoff in June.

In his first touch after coming on in the second half of the match, the 33-year-old former Real Madrid man delivered a back-heeled pass that drew applause.
