He hasn’t yet fought in 2022, but Jake Paul is ready to return to the ring and he is looking for his next opponent. Tyron Woodley was his last matchup, in December of 2021, when Jake Paul extended his professional boxing record to 5-0.
Now, he has six names on his shortlist for the next high-profile bout, including Floyd Mayweather, who famously fought his brother Logan Paul.

“There’s a lot of people on the hitlist and some other names that we’re talking to, so just trying to pick the biggest opponent,” he said on The Fight with Teddy Atlas.
“There’s Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya, Anderson Silva, Michael Bisping, Tommy Fury, Sonny Williams.
“I’m looking for someone who can match my star power.”
He also revealed that the fight could take place in the USA, but also potentially in Australia or the UAE.

Jake Paul vs Oscar De La Hoya: Could it happen?
Of all the names on the list, Jake Paul discussed one in greater detail.
“Oscar, if you’re watching this man get off the couch and start training because we can make this happen,” he said, a message to De La Hoya.
This really could be a possibility since De La Hoya is one of the old school boxers who has been aboard the Jake Paul bandwagon since the start.
“Let me tell you one thing about Jake Paul, he’s the real deal, I’m going to tell you that,” De La Hoya once said.
“With only four or five fights and the way he’s taking it serious, Jake Paul is the real deal.
“I dare anyone who has boxing experience or MMA experience to call him out because, I’ll tell you one thing, this guy can beat a lot of good champions and even maybe great champions.
“So, Jake Paul is taking it serious. This is not a one-off, a two-off, a three-off, no.”
Now, De La Hoya could be next in line to challenge the YouTube sensation.
