James Harden’s physical transformation is grabbing the headlines at the start of the NBA 2022/23 Training Camp. The Sixers’ point guard never leaves the spotlight, but this time it is for all the right reasons as he looks in peak shape.

Harden finished last season’s NBA Playoffs with plenty of doubts. His inconsistency brought down the Sixers who became overly dependent on Joel Embiid. From that moment on, however, the ‘Beard’ seems to have woken up.

First, he agreed to a contract that allowed the franchise to make moves and his physique is more convincing than in previous seasons.

“I want to get healthy, make my teammates better and be a leader for the Sixers,” he said at Philadelphia’s Media Day.

At the Sixers’ Training Camp, Harden has left several images that will have brought joy to Philadelphia fans.

Nike logo torn off

The latest was one of him training with a jersey which, on the one hand, shows that he is slimmer, but on the other it has the Nike logo cut out.

The reason is that he is an Adidas athlete and doesn’t want it to appear. It mimics something Kawhi Leonard started doing.

However, that physical change has yet to be demonstrated on the court, which is the true test.
