Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who plays linebacker for the Cleveland Browns, is facing the worst of sadness after he returned from a soccer camp on the African continent to learn of the death of his older brother, apparently the victim of a fire.
Exemplary relationship
Joshua Emmanuel came to play linebacker at William & Mary and in life cultivated an excellent relationship with his younger brother who still does not explain what happened, as a police report details that the body of the deceased was found Tuesday inside a burned house in Hampton, Virginia.
Drew Barker, a former high school classmate who has known the two brothers for years, said they were practically inseparable and only soccer managed to separate them, as Jeremiah ended up making it to the NFL.
“I don’t know anyone who could be closer than those two. And if Josh wasn’t by Jeremiah’s side, I was rooting for him on the TV sending up prayers for him to do well,” he reminisced.
Sensitive casualty
Upon learning of the tragedy facing the Owusu-Koramoah family, Mike London coach of William & Mary, the institution Joshua Owusu-Koramoah came to represent in 2016, referred to the 23-year-old as an exemplary person.
“He was a person of deep faith who was committed to helping others, and was always a positive force in his time within our soccer program. His tragic loss will be felt by many throughout the communities at William & Mary and Hampton,” he mentioned.
