Paul Pogba could again travel between Manchester and Turin this summer, with Juventus having made contact with the Manchester United midfielder’s agents to arrange a meeting in order to discuss the possibility of him returning to the Allianz Stadium this July.

Having left Manchester United for Juventus previously as a youngster in search of first-team football, Pogba made his name in northern Italy before returning to Old Trafford in a big-money move in 2016. Now, he could again take that well-travelled route back to Juve.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Juventus and Pogba‘s representatives will meet early next week, and likely on Monday. Rafaela Pimenta will take charge of Pogba‘s side of things, having taken over from Mino Raiola after the super-agent’s passing.

The Di Maria option and PSG’s interest in Pogba

Juventus are also considering the signing of Angel Di Maria, who is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer as the Ligue 1 champions seek a clear-out. Like Pogba, the Argentine is set to become a free agent, with his contract expiring on June 30, 2022.

However, PSG are also keen on bringing Pogba to the Parc des Princes as their latest superstar signing, which poses problems for the Bianconeri. PSG could offer Pogba a figure close to the 15 million euros a year he is currently earning at Manchester United.

Juventus, though, cannot come close. The maximum they can afford to pay the Frenchman would be 7.5 million euros, with bonuses on top of that to take him above 10m euros.

Another club that were rumoured to be in for the 29-year-old were Manchester City, but it is thought that the player would prefer a move away from England.

For now, there’s a lot to be solved in the Pogba case. But Juventus have taken the first step towards bringing him back to Turin.
