After a good night for the New York Giants on the first day of the 2022 NFL Draft, the team selected Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux with the fifth pick, a player who even without making his league debut is someone who places great importance on his finances, openly betting on non fungible tokens (NFT) and cryptocurrencies.

When the Giants’ new player isn’t spending his time training and facing opponents on the gridiron, he turns his attention to business and makes the most of it knowing that his name is a brand with huge potential.

“It was something that I knew about but I wasn’t really interested in until I got older and had my own bank account. I was able to think of different ways that I can make my money for myself,” Thibodeaux told Andscape.

Thibodeaux’s cryptocurrency $JREAM

Thibodeaux’s business acumen is unique for a college player projected to be an NFL star, proving it by partnering last July with Nike CEO Phil Knight and footwear designer Tinker Hatfield to design an NFT. Kavyon now has his own cryptocurrency, $JREAM.

“I’ve always been a future-forward person, working for yourself is what I’ve always wanted to do. Cryptocurrency seemed like the best place with the exponential growth that it has,” Thibodeaux said.

The now Giants player has a huge desire to make a big impact on the NFL as well as his life, in every aspect of it, and he’s showing it with his financial projects and his commitment to new digital models.
