The first day of the 2022 NFL Draft left several surprises with the teams’ selections, such as Kenny Pickett, who was chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 20th pick in the first round, but besides talking about the quarterback many fans are also interested in his girlfriend, Amy Paternoster.
The man charged with upholding the legacy of legend Ben Rothlisberger will have Paternoster’s support as he looks to succeed in the same city that has been his home since 2017, as he played in college with Pittsburgh.
Who is Kenny Pickett’s girlfriend, Amy Paternoster?
Paternoster is a talented soccer player and currently plays forward for Princeton, making Academic All-Ivy in 2021.
Pickett’s partner is an Economics major and spent her summer last year as an analyst at Goldman Sachs investment bank, plus she spent a year in London at the School of Economics and has her F-level license as a soccer coach.
Paternoster is also successful in the sport, scoring three goals in 16 games last season and providing five assists.
The couple went public with their relationship in April 2021, but are also engaged after Amy said yes in January.
Pickett, the Steelers’ gamble
Pickett first convinced Pittsburgh by breaking several records last season in college when he threw for 4,319 yards and 42 touchdowns, in addition to his strong performance at the Combine in Indianapolis, completing the 40-yard dash in 4.73 seconds and reaching 10 feet 1 inch for the long jump.
In doing so, he became the highest-ranked quarterback in this year’s draft and the only one to go in the first round.
