Light was at the end of the tunnel for Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets after all as the New York government finally decided to change the private sector vaccine mandate that didn’t allow athletes or performers to do their jobs. Mayor Eric Adams decided to give Kyrie Irving the best possible birthday gift he could, as per reports. This means that the point guard will be able to play at Barclays Center once again on Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets. Pending official confirmation, journalist Shams Charania was one of the first to report Kyrie Irving will finally get to play at home in front of his own crowd. Nes that also comes on a day when Irving is playing against the Memphis Grizzlies in one of his last away games of the season.

If the mandate wasn’t lifted by mayor Adams, Kyrie Irving only had four games left with the Nets but this new decision will get him to play a total of 10 games left in the rest of the regular season. If he doesn’t fall injured, this could be the biggest opportunity the Nets have to make the playoffs and maybe even go further. With Kevin Durant and Irving himself playing at this level, they seem quite difficult to beat for any opponent they face. Now that the Nets will have the other major star playing all games for them, they can secure top performance levels against key rivals in their conference before the end of the regular season.

Which games is Kyrie Irving cleared to play?

According to the calendar of games left in the regular season, the Brooklyn Nets will have Kyrie cleared to play for six more games. First, he makes his debut at home this season against the Charlotte Hornets. After that, he will now be eligible to play against the Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers. Should they win all 10 games left, there is no doubt they are making the playoffs and arrive as one of the strongest teams in the league. Irving recently performed at an unreallevel by scoring 50 and 60 points in consecutive games. Will he make a huge difference while playing at Barclays Center?
