Kyrie Irving‘s future remains unclear, with reports one day stating he’ll leave the Brooklyn Nets, while others say he’s looking to sign a new contract.

Although he reportedly held talks with the Nets over a new contract, it appears some of the alleged requests he made that didn’t go down well with the team have been leaked.

Irving’s request

According to Ric Bucher of ‘Fox Sports’, Irving told management that if he were to sign a new deal, he wouldn’t play more than 60 games per season.

It’s an unusual request for a player of Irving‘s calibre, and for someone that is playing on a contending team.

In addition, it’s said he asked not to play on consecutive days, with Bucher explaining that Irving feels its “inhumane”.

Irving only played in 29 games last season due to New York State’s vaccination policy.

Following news of the requests, Irving distanced himself from the reports.
