Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback Lamar Jackson will not be in the game with the Pittsburgh Steelers and could miss the next two weeks.

According to Adam Schefter, the Ravens player has a sprain and will be out one to three weeks.

Lamar suffered a knee injury in the Ravens’ Week 13 NFL regular season win over the Denver Broncos. Head coach John Harbaugh added that it is “less likely” that Lamar Jackson will play next Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14.

John Harbaugh declined to give any prognostications on Jackson’s health

“He’s been through the MRI. It’s going to be a weekly thing,” Harbaugh stated. “As the week progresses, we’ll see what happens. It’s less likely he’ll be back this week, but it’s not impossible, and then it’s going to be more and more likely.”

Jackson was injured on a sack by the Denver Broncos defense late in the first quarter. He was examined in the medical booth before heading to the locker room and did not return to the game. From there, backup Tyler Huntley assumed the quarterback role and led the team to victory. He scored the touchdown in Baltimore’s win with 28 seconds left on the clock.

“The players have a lot of confidence in Huntley. He’ll probably do the majority of practice with the first team this week. He’s a player who is eager to prove his game,” Harbaugh said.

Tyler Huntley, 24, started four games for the Ravens last year when Lamar Jackson was also injured. Since joining the league in 2020, he has 1,641 yards and six touchdowns.
