Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James took to X on Sunday to express his support for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is set to win the league’s Most Valuable Player award, and not just because he threw five touchdown passes to obliterate the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 of the 2023 NFL season.
James, 39, called out the critics that always have something negative to say when it comes to Jackson, mainly those who claim he is more of a running back than a quarterback.
“Ok, so what are ya’ll going to say about [Lamar Jackson’s] MVP nod now!? Always on some hating s–t when it comes to him. Man give him the trophy now and his flowers,” James tweeted. “Quarterbacky, huh? Nah! H.I.M.”
Lamar Jackson deserves MVP, but wants Super Bowl
Jackson, 26, would win the second MVP award of his still very young NFL career. He has led the Ravens to a 13-3 record and wants to claim the Super Bowlalongside heach coach John Harbaugh.
Baltimore clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs, so Harbaugh will likely rest his starters Week 18, giving them a 14-day break.
