Zach LaVine has been given a new contract by the Chicago Bulls which surpasses any numbers that the great Michael Jordan managed to earn.

It will be an incredible compliment and achievement for LaVine to even be in the same conversation that contains the Chicago Bulls and Jordan.

Not only is he in that conversation, but he is also now on a more lucrative contract than Jordan was ever given.

LaVine has decided that his future in the National Basketball Association (NBA) will be with the Eastern Conference franchise.

The shooting guard came to the bulls from the Minnesota Timberwolves and he was a crucial part of making the team prominent and relevant again.

Despite falling in the first round to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Bulls competed and now have the core of players to do it again.

LaVine averaged 24.4 points, 4.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game. Now he’s also breaking a Jordan mark.

LaVine has just penned a new five-year deal with the Bulls which is worth 215 million dollars. According to ESPN Stats & Info, it is the largest contract in franchise history. He will also have the highest salary for a Chicago player since Michael Jordan.

LaVine’s average salary will be $43 million. Jordan went from $3.85M in 1996-97, to being worth $30.14M in 1997-98. Already being the highest-paid player since His Majesty shows how important the point guard is to Illinois.
