LeBron James was in Paris, France on Saturday for the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool FC and Real Madrid. James, a minority owner of the Premier League club, suffered in the stands as his side fell to the Spaniards.

King James was spotted at Stade de France wearing a fancy suit and drinking a glass of wine. He arrived late and some fans on Twitter are blaming him for the game getting delayed over 30 minutes, although the venue was to blame over poor organization.

Still, NBA Twitter are calling him “LeJinx,” not only because he tweeted Liverpool fans not to start the game without him, but because the Reds lost in his presence. James was accompanied by Maverick Carter and Paul Rivera, two of his business associates.

Liverpool loses to Real Madrid

James has recently garnered a reputation of jinxing the teams or athletes which he praises on Twitter. This was just one more example of how the club LBJ roots for will likely go down against its opponent.

Luka Doncic, meanwhile, celebrated Real Madrid’s win on Twitter. Doncic played basketball for Real Madrid and has been following the soccer club throughout their entire UCL title run.

Real Madrid lifted its 14th UEFA Champions League trophy with a 1-0 victory over Liverpool. The Reds had an excellent campaign, but in the end, Madrid’s experience was too much to overcome, winning its first UCL since Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos left the organization.
