After the rumors that arose last week regarding a possible blood donation by former NBA player Earvin “Magic” Johnson, the Hall of Fame member himself clarified everything and assured that it is all a lie, while asserting that he has never donated blood.

In recent days, photographs were seen on the social network Twitter in which supposedly Magic Johnson was donating blood on August 18, so there were several comments on social networks regarding the situation.

“Earlier today, NBA legend Magic Johnson donated some of his blood to the Red Cross to help disadvantaged communities fight COVID-19,” read the message of the publication, which Johnson denied.

Many of the comments were regarding the condition of the former Los Angeles Lakers player, who was diagnosed with HIV in 1991, and that his donation was to help Covid-19 patients, which the former basketball player himself clarified.

“I am aware of the false story circulating on the Internet and to be clear, I have never donated blood,” said the 63-year-old former player, who thus ended any controversy over those images that went viral last week and caused impact on many people.
