Former world champion Manny Pacquiao starred in one of boxing’s great rivalries against American Floyd Mayweather, and when talking about a possible rematch, he assured that although he is willing to face again, the fight will not happen because Floyd is afraid of him.
“I don’t think he wants a rematch with me Floyd,” he responded during a live on Instagram with Ryan Garcia. “I don’t think so. What I think is that he’s scared to death to fight me again and that’s my analysis of a rematch with him.”

He returns to the ring this weekend against DK Yoo
Manny is set to step back into the ring this Saturday, December 10, when he will perform an exhibition bout against Korean martial arts fighter DK Yoo. It will be the first time he returns to fight since August 2021, when he lost to Yordenis Ugas for the WBA welterweight belt.
After that bout, Pacquiao announced his retirement and unsuccessfully pursued a bid to become president of his native Philippines. About the possible rematch against Mayweather, he assured, “I’m sure I can beat him easily.” Mayweather has been retired since 2017.
Pacquiao hints at return to boxing
“I want an exhibition fight with him, I already had a 12-round pro fight with him,” Manny said, referring to their May 2015 fight for the WBA, WBC and WBO welterweight belts.
On that occasion, ‘Money’ won by unanimous decision on cards of 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110.
Mayweather offers Pacquaio a fight after knockout win
Pacquiao said Saturday’s fight against Yoo will help him find out how he is physically and see if he can try once again to return to professional boxing.
