Marcelo is one of the Real Madrid players who are expected to depart this summer, with his contract at the club coming to an end this month.

The Brazilian left-back is the player who has won the most trophies in Los Blancos’ history. Marcelo was willing to stay put for another season, but he hasn’t received any offer to extend his contract.

During the celebrations following Real Madrid‘s win over Liverpool in the Champions League final, Marcelo couldn’t hold back his tears, being aware that this was his last season at the club.

The Brazilian is awaiting the tribute that Real Madrid have organised for him on June 13 and doesn’t want anything to divert his attention from this special event.

However, his agents have already received calls from clubs who are interested in acquiring his services ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Interest in Marcelo from Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Turkey

Marcelo has attracted interest from Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, but he is unsure what his next step should be, as his family is delighted with life in the Spanish capital.

Playing in Turkey is the most attractive option, as their league is more competitive than those of Qatar and UAE. A Turkish side could also offer him the opportunity to play European football again next season.

It has to be noted that in the last few seasons, Marcelo has been taking care of his diet, also working out in extra sessions with a personal trainer, even during on holidays, in his bid to stay in shape.
