The latest incident between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole has sent shockwaves through the NBA. After a video of the fight was leaked, even the players have spoken out about it.

However, altercations between teammates is not something new in the league. Legendary players such as Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have also been involved in quarrels in the past.

Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr

Expectations at the legendary Chicago Bulls were at an all-time high, even in practice. Michael Jordan always played on the edge and had no problem challenging his teammates. In 1995, things got heated with Steve Kerr. During a practice, the current Golden State Warriors coach had to defend Jordan. There was an argument between the two men and they exchanged punches. One of them hit Kerr’s face and gave him a black eye.

“I knew that if we were in an actual fight he could actually probably kill me if he wanted to,” Kerr said. “It was more just I’m going to stand up for myself.”

Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant

These two players marked an era at the Los Angeles Lakers. Although they maintained a close friendship for years, they also had their moments of conflict. During a training session, things got out of control when they got into a fight.

Not just anyone was capable of standing toe-to-toe with someone like Shaq.

“I couldn’t reach him,” Kobe joked later. O’Neal threw the first punch and Kobe had no choice but to try to dodge it.

Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard

The Lakers’ 2021 season was a complicated one. After winning the league, nothing was the same on the court and players felt that. During a playoff game against the Phoenix Suns, Davis and Howard took out their frustration.

During a timeout, they began to exchange words to the point that the altercation got physical. ‘The Eyebrow’ reproached ‘Superman’ for a play and the latter got up from his seat to confront his teammate. Fortunately, other players interfered and everything remained an anecdote.

LeBron James and Mario Chalmers

LeBron James has a reputation for being a difficult teammate to handle at certain points. In a regular season game at the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers, LeBron had an argument with teammate Mario Chalmers, who acknowledged that he had a complicated relationship with the four-time NBA champion.

Draymond Green and Kevin Durant

The fight with Jordan Poole is not Green’s first altercation in his career. In 2019, he had an argument with teammate Kevin Durant, confirming that something was not right in the Warriors dressing room. In a visit away at the Los Angeles Clippers, Green showed ‘KD’ the exit door saying something along the lines of “We don’t need you. We won without you. Leave.”
