NFL free agent Duane Brown was arrested on gun charges Saturday at LAX airport after attempting to board a plane with a gun in his lugagge, according to TMZ.

LAX police officer Lt. Karla Rodriguez, who said it was unclear if the gun was loaded, confirmed that Brown was taken into custody and booked at the LAPD Pacific Jail.

Now a free agent, the defensive tackle was arrested after a routine search of his bag revealed a firearm to a TSA agent.

The incident ocurred around 2:00 pm at Terminal 6 where Brown was scheduled to catch a flight out of Los Angeles.

Video of the arrest shows Brown escorted through the airport in handcuffs before getting placed inside a police cruiser.

Brown was charged with possession of a concealed firearm, police said.

Brown, 36, played for the Houston Texans nine years before joining the Seattle Seahawks in 2017.

The 2012 Pro-Bowl tackle is now facing up to a year behind bars as negotiations with Seattle were soon to culminate.

Seahawks could still pick him up but the incident could weigh into their decision.

Brown, a first round pick for the Texans in 2008, signed a $36.5 million contract with Seattle in 2018.
