The story of Odell Beckham Jr, a free agent receiver who played his last game during Super Bowl LVI in which his then team, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium, just took a completely unexpected turn. Hours before he was to attend some scheduled visits with different NFL teams, an incident occurred at the Miami Airport.

What happened at Miami Airport with Odell Beckham Jr?
Below is the official statement from the Miami-Dade Police Department:
“At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department, were dispatched to a medical emergency at an American Airlines flight. The flight crew was concerned for a passenger (Mr. Odell Beckham), as they tried to wake him to fasten his seat belt, he appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness, prior to their departure. Fearing that Mr. Beckham was seriously ill, and that his condition would worsen through the expected 5 hour flight, the attendants called for police and fire rescue. Upon the officers arrival, the flight crew asked Mr. Beckham several times to exit the aircraft, which he refused. The aircraft was deplaned, at which time Mr. Beckham was asked by the officers to exit the plane, and did so without incident. Mr. Beckham was escorted to the non-secure area of the terminal by the officers where he made other arrangements.”
There are even videos of Bekcham being escorted by police at Miami Airport and without yet having more information on the details, it is known that the flight had to be suspended.

It should be noted that without an official confirmation of the reasons why OBJ was “in and out of consciousness”, the former receiver of the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams had at least two appointments with NFL teams scheduled, the Giants themselves and the Dallas Cowboys, the latter have been considered the favorites to obtain Bekcham’s services after stars of the organization, such as quarterback Dak Prescott and linebacker Micah Parsons, as well as owner Jerry Jones have openly spoken in favor of this hiring.
