Devin Booker was having a fantastic night against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, the Phoenix Suns were well on their way to winning their second consecutive game of the series. Until the moment he had to leave to the locker room, Devin Booker was well on his way to a possible 40+ point game. Suddenly, there was confusion during the broadcast because they weren’t sure what happened to Book. As it turns out, Devin was feeling discomfort in one of his thighs and he needed to get checked out by the doctors. Earlier in the season, Booker had already missed several games due to a hamstring injury but there was hope he could return to the fourth quarter.

When Booker came back, he was no longer wearing his kit to play basketball. This was a bad omen to what possibly happened to Devin Booker, who missed the rest of the game. You all know how things progressed, the Pelicans turned the game around to finish with a surprising away 125-114 victory. Devin Booker’s face said it all, he was just as worried as the rest of the Phoenix Suns fans are. It’s still unclear how serious his injury can be but further scans will tell us what we are dealing with on Wednesday. If indeed a hamstring injury is confirmed, Booker could miss the rest of the Playoffs.

Can the Suns lose the Playoffs because of this?

The Phoenix Suns have proved this season that they didn’t need Devin Booker for an important part of the season. They kept behaving like the most competitive team in the entire NBA but they haven’t been without Book during a Playoff run recently. With Chris Paul playing at a high level, they stillhave a chance to win this series but losing Booker means they would be losing one of the best players in the NBA this season. If everything goes well, the Suns will only get a small scare but we won’t know anything until the scan results are made public.
