The heavyweight unification fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is planned to take place in February 2023, according to reports from ESPN’s Mark Kreigel.
As reported by the journalist, the fight is planned to take place in the Middle East and may be announced soon for the weekend before the SuperBowl, or for a week after.
Fury, who in recent weeks announced his retirement, changed his decision and will return to make the first fight in history that will define the undisputed heavyweight champion.
In his last fight, Fury had no problem beating Dillian Whyte by knockout and successfully defending his WBC belt.
For his part, Usyk came out of the Ukraine war and began his preparation for the rematch against Anthony Joshua, whom he defeated by split decision in Saudi Arabia on August 20.

After Usyk won his last fight against Joshua, Fury released a video on social media mocking the fighters, saying it was the worst heavyweight fight he had ever seen and that he was ready to beat the two of them in one night.
“It was bu****it,” Fury said. “It was one of the worst title fight I’ve ever seen. I am ready to annihilate them in the same night.”
Both Fury and Usyk have not lost a fight in their careers, so both, in addition to their championships, are at stake for their undefeated record.
According to Kreigel’s report, the purse will be divided into equal pairs, so this time Fury will not have the economic balance tilted in his favor.
Previously, Bob Arum, president of Top Rank and part of Fury’s representatives, said that if Usyk won, he was confident that there would be no obstacles to reaching an agreement and making the fight happen.
