Luka Modric demonstrated his greatness once again as he led Real Madrid to their Champions League quarter-final comeback victory over Chelsea on Tuesday night.

The Croatian produced one of the greatest assists in Champions League history with his outside-of-his-foot pass for Rodrygo Goes to pull a goal back for Los Blancos on the night.

The assist left everyone at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and around the world stunned, with former England international Rio Ferdinand losing his voice.

“This pass from Luka Modric is why I lost my voice today!” he told BT Sport.

“That’s illegal, that.

“I was screaming, Luka, Muka, whatever his name was. Phenomenal.”
