Tight end Rob Gronkowski is undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer in his own right, however, it is impossible to tell his story without mentioning the one who has thrown him the vast majority of the passes he has caught, current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

What did Rob Gronkowski write on Twitter?

That said, the famed “Gronk” has not played in 2022 and has supposedly retired for the second time in his glittering NFL career, however, a short message on his Twitter account has most fans thinking that a second return to the gridiron is not something that should be ruled out.

I’m kinda bored,” were the only three words Gronkowski wrote but they lead one to believe that his mind is set on returning, implying a lot of additional speculation as to where the future of this colorful NFL character would be.

Rob Gronkowski’s two stints in the NFL

It is worth remembering that Gronkowski was selected in the second round (#42 overall) by the New England Patriots in the 2010 NFL Draft and his first nine seasons were under head coach Bill Belichick and with Brady as his quarterback, a period in which he became the legendary player’s favorite weapon and a major player in winning three Super Bowls (XLIX, LI and LIII).

After defeating the Los Angeles Rams in the aforementioned Super Bowl LIII, “Gronk” decided to retire only to return two seasons later with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the express request of the former husband of Brazilian top model, Gisele Bündchen.

Brady and Gronkowski went together in their first year with the Bucs to Super Bowl LV in which they defeated the favored Kansas City Chiefs, giving the tight end his fourth Lombardi Trophy and the quarterback his seventh.

So it’s impossible not to think that when Brady becomes a free agent after this season, Gronkowski will be keeping a close eye on his next move to follow him for the third time in his life.
