Roger Federer has officially retired from tennis, a sport that he helped reinvent with five trademark shots.
Tennis TV released a video on YouTube showing some highlights of the five shots that Federer helped pioneer.
Feder retired Friday at the 2022 Laver Cup, but his game will continue without him.
The 41-year-old Swiss is known for pulling off behind-the-back and between-the-legs shots, but his mastery of tennis goes far beyond flash.

Federer would encroach the area after an opponent’s serve to get a quick return.
He would often catch players off guard and force errors from the opposing player.

The tennis legend hit countless winner by pulling off the “sneak attack by Roger,” also known as “SABR.”

Fake forehand drop shot
Federer is a magician on the court, always using misdirection to get his way with a rival.
The “fake forehand drop shot” is when Federer pretends he’s going to his a forehand, but instead slices the ball.
As a result of the fake forehand drop shot, opponents are always much too far to reach the ball.
These kinds of shots are exactly what inspired a generation to follow in Federer’s footsteps.
The no-look and backhand slice disguise
The no-look shot: when Federer looks one way but sends the ball to the other side of the court.
Federer might have stolen that move from Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho.
