Billionaire Mark Cuban recently sold his majority interest in the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. He’ll stay on to run basketball operations, but he wants to share in the windfall he received on the sale.

Cuban has announced he will be giving $35 million in bonuses to employees, according to multiple reports.

Cuban sold his majority stake in the NBA franchise to the families that run the Las Vegas Sands casino company for $3.5 billion.

“As a thank you for all your hard work making the Mavs an amazing organization, each of you will be receiving a bonus from myself, and the Adelson and Dumont families,” Cuban’s message to employees read. “In total, we will be paying out approximately $35 plus Million Dollars in bonuses to you all.”

The amount of pay will be calculated with a “framework that took into consideration how long you have worked for the Mavs.”

In a recent interview with the Showtime podcast All The Smoke, Cuban told hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson that season 16 of Shark Tank will be his last. The reality show from Mark Burnett is currently in its 15th season.

“It’s time,” said Cuban, who first guested on Shark Tank in season 2 before becoming a regular shark the following year. He’s been a popular mainstay ever since.
