Football fans have predicted that Manchester City star Erling Haaland will win the Premier League Golden Boot for a second consecutive season.

The Norway international enjoyed a remarkable recording-breaking maiden campaign with Man City in 2022/23. In 35 league appearances, Haaland managed to net a stunning 36 goals – breaking Andy Cole and Alan Shearer’s previous record for most goals in a single Premier League season.

While not in record-breaking form so far in 2023/24, Haaland has continued to score goals for fun in England’s top flight. The forward currently sits atop of the goalscoring charts having netted an impressive 20 goals in 26 Premier League games thus far.

Haaland has some stern competition for the Golden Boot this season however, with ex-Man City man Cole Palmer also sitting on 20 league goals for the season. The Chelsea attacker has been in sublime form in recent weeks, scoring nine in his last four games – netting four against Everton alone – to leap right into contention for the top scorer award.

Sitting just behind on 19 goals is Aston Villa’s star man Ollie Watkins. The England international has impressed through both his goalscoring prowess and his ability to create for his teammates too – having a league best 12 assists to his name.
