At the beginning of the season, the Golden State Warriors were clearly the best team in the NBA, their most important player Stephen Curry broke the three-point record and Klay Thompson was yet to return to the team led by Steve Kerr, however, things got drastically worse after the All-Star game and specifically on March 16.

That night the Warriors faced the Boston Celtics at home, the less important thing is that they clearly lost, the most important thing is that in the first half, Marcus Smart fell on Curry’s foot in the dispute of a loose ball, causing him a serious injury from which he is still not recovered.

What is Stephen Curry’s injury?

The diagnosis of the injury of the “Chef” was a Sprained Ligament in Foot which caused him to miss the rest of the regular season and the Warriors to fall to third place in the Western Conference and almost even below the Dallas Mavericks.

Golden State hopes to finally have continuity with its original Dynasty “Big 3” consisting of the aforementioned Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green, all three of whom have had extended absences in this and the past two seasons.

Curry’s rehab process

This Tuesday, the Warriors offered an update on Curry’s injury but would neither assure nor rule out his availability for Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs against the Utah Jazz this Saturday.

According to the release, Curry is continuing his rehab process, has already done several individual drills on the court including running and pulling and is expected to be able to practice at 100% with the rest of his teammates at some point this week.

In short, if Golden State aspires to fight for the Larry O’Brien Trophy, they not only need Curry on the court, they also need their best players to play at their highest level.
