One of the next big UFC fights will see Nate Diaz take on Khamzat Chimaev and it promises to be a thriller.

That showdown between the Swede and the American will take place as part of UFC 279 on September 10, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and tensions are rising.

With 11 wins and zero defeats in his professional career, Chimaev is one of the rising stars of the MMA world, however his recent social media post saw him come in for criticism.

Khamzat Chimaev sends Nate Diaz a coffin emoji

With the fight now just around the corner, UFC have been pushing out promotional material on social media and the fighters have been sharing this too and interacting.

However, Chimaev may have crossed a line when he responded to one Instagram post from the UFC’s official account with a coffin emoji, insinuating that he plans to kill Diaz in the octagon.

The Swede also posted the number 209, a reference to the postcode of Stockton, California, where Diaz lives.

Chimaev was criticised to this, but all his post has done is build extra hype for this showdown.
